Centers of Italy 2021

The first 2021 report of the Centers of Italy series, elaborated by ActionAid and Openpolis, marks the transition from the analysis of contracts related to the extraordinary reception of migrants, to that of centers. For the first time, it is possible, to compare data on all reception centers managed by the Prefectures on the entire national territory, as of December 31, 2018 and December 31, 2019. The data collected allow analysis and comparisons useful for the evaluation and monitoring of public policies on reception that confirm the failure of the system generated by the security decree, noting the penalization of small centers and widespread reception.
