#Safe for real!

In 2009 a tragic earthquake hit L’Aquila and the neighbouring villages. In 2012 and 2016 two other major earthquakes struck Northern and Central Italy. Nonetheless, Italy has not yet approved a clear normative framework for managing emergency responses to natural disasters.

For this reason, ActionAid has decided to promote the #SafeForReal campaign asking the Government to adopt a law on reconstruction, monitoring funds and more efficient risk prevention and mitigation measures.
